Barbel Strzoda

Barbel is a local resident of Huntington Beach, California working predominantly in oils. She was educated in Europe and began taking art lessons as a young child. She had a natural talent and personal passion for art which fueled her creativity and ability to create inspiring works. She particularly enjoyed portraits and expanded her studies from there. Barbel has been painting since childhood but has been taking formal instruction in the United States for the past 30 years. In addition, she has herself been teaching her unique technique and style for the past 18 years. Her specialty is in oils spanning from realism to impressionism with a European influence. She has the ability to vary her style to accommodate her students needs much in part because of her vast years of experience and exposure to different techniques, artists and mediums. She is a member of the Huntington Beach Art Association and has continually placed first and second in local exhibitions entered throughout the area. Her work can be viewed at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim, the Sea Cliff Country Club in Huntington Beach as well as at her art center. Her work is also shown at various exhibitions throughout the Southern California area, Canada and Europe.

Donna Forbes

Donna is a gifted children’s instructor inspiring them with her positive approach. She has been involved with art all of her life and has been specializing in oils for the past 30 years. She has studied under many instructors including Frank Toriello, Tom Anderson, Gary Savage and Evelyn Woodward. Donna has the remarkable ability to inspire creativity within children to create beautiful works. She teaches in a variety of mediums including water colors and oils. Jung Shin

Jung was born in Japan where he studied fine art at the Pusan College. He is a master of portrait painting and has won numerous awards including the National Art Exhibition (1961, 1966), Mok Woo Hoe Exhibition (1967, 1970), and the Indio Date Festival (1990) where he won first in the portrait division, Sweepstakes, and best of show. He continues to participates in group exhibitions throughout California and Japan, and in 1991 he produced his first lithograph. In addition to sharing his talent and technique through art instruction, Jung produces exceptional commission paintings and sells limited edition reproductions of his best work. Jung proudly became a United States citizen in 1991.
